ICING ON THE CAKE will make you lick your fingers!

It's here! Officially today, the fifth title in my GSO series, ICING ON THE CAKE, is available for download from Beautiful Trouble Publishing.

You don't have to have read the previous stories in this series to understand this one, but I strongly recommed it. This one, I think, will make you lick your fingers and start at the beginning for a second piece.

Let me know what you think of this one.

Genre: Erotic Interracial Romance Contemporary
Series: GSO
Author: RaeLynn Blue
Publisher: Beautiful Trouble Publishing

Blurb: Brice Middleton is running from a haunted past, one that lingers in his head—a dark, sobering reminder of how trust can be twisted and wielded like a weapon, slicing through love and critically wounding the heart. Beneath his golden tan, sun-drenched blonde hair, and hazel eyes are scars that zigzag across his chest, some physical, some emotional—all painful. Devoting himself to his work at C.A.K.E., Brice distances himself from everyone.

Aerial Gibson loves being an actress even if it means living hand-to-mouth in the Triad. A graduate of North Carolina’s best performing arts program, she spends most of her evenings serving up caffeinated and sugary goodness at Tate Street CafĂ©. She has a steady income, an approaching audition, and an awesome—and somewhat overly protective—family. However, Brice highlights the one thing absent in Aerial’s happy-go-lucky world—a lover.

If Aerial can infiltrate the walls around Brice’s heart and capture it for herself, it would be the icing on the cake.

THEFT OF SOULS GETS A NEW COVER

Admittedly, I wasn't too thrilled with the inital cover art for Theft of Souls. Still, it's a quirky, sexy little sf/fantasy romance, and I liked it. So I figured it would sell all on its merits alone. Well, imagine my joy to see Nancy--MMP's resident award-winning cover artist--send me the NEW cover art for Theft of Souls.

I only had one single word.

"Wow."

Here it is. She successfully captured the mystery and intrigue of my story.

Blurb: Enslaved by the elven leader, King Diniji, Tara longs for her freedom and an end to the needless stealing of human souls. She has an infatuation with Trace, the soul snatcher, and would love to satisfy her longing for the handsome elf and restore a genuine smile to his face. Better yet, maybe he will be the key to free her and restore the elf community to the way it was meant to be.

Escape to a World of Vampires, Shades, Love--AN OTHERWORLD

My latest release in the OTHERWORLD ATTENDANTS series is titled AN OPEN HEART. This is the third story in the series, but you do not have to have read AN OPEN LURE or AN OPEN MELODY to read this one. The story took me a very long time to write, over a year and a half. I enjoyed it as much as Jet and Felicia did. This is an I/R title, despite the cover art. Jet is Japanese American and Felicia is Irish-American.

interracial Romance: ww/am
Genre: Paranormal, Action Adventure/ Suspense, Dark Fantasy
Purchase Link: http://www.changelingpress.com/product.php?&upt=book&ubid=1810

Blurb: Too good to be true... Felicia met the man of her dreams. And lost him. When she awakens one day to find Jet gone, her world comes crashing down.

Jet, an Otherworld Attendant, pledged his life to fulfill his contract to serve the vampire Orion. A botched ritual turned Jet into a Shade, a soul that resides neither in this world nor the next.

Felicia's open heart welcomed Jet without question, gifting him with unconditional love. He'd thought to hide his past -- and its dangers -- from her, to keep her safe. But even leaving her isn't enough.

The ache is still fresh when Jet returns to defend her against an enemy who threatens not only her life, but his, as well. Battling her heartache and fear, Felicia must decide if she can open her heart to Jet again. Her love is the only thing that will give him the strength to save them both.

Enjoy.

Let's talk about sex...

Humpin'.

Pumpin'.

Horizontal jogging.

Getting plunged.

Shagging.

Or just plain fuckin'.

How much is too much when it comes to reading a story? I'm a strong believer that there should be no sex in a story that's unwarranted, and the level of description should also be in line with the story. Sometimes the genre "defines" the amount of sex the story should have--if any.

And then there's the question of contraception. Is it the responsibility of author to be PC and assure the reader that characters are practicing safe sex?

Is there really a reason for all of this or are we--as readers and/or authors--just conditioned to follow the herd and stay within certain boundaries?
