Characters I'd like to...

So after looking for some notes on a story I'm looking at presently (one amongst the crowd) I found notes for a story almost six years old and I sat here and read them and fell in love with the Hero all over again...he's a mean m.f. (you know...so different from other characters me and Momma write...NOT!) but he loves his woman something wicked! Woo hoo!

So to all you writers/readers/friends/fans out there reading this right now...answer me this:

Is there a character that you would drop your panties for in a heartbeat?

Why?

Easter in America...

So as y'all may well know THE Jeanie (that's me) has until recently resided in the Southern Hemisphere - New Zealand to be exact - for quite some time...the reason I mention this is Easter Sunday saw Momma (Jayha Leigh) myself (The Jeanie) Mr Momma (self explanatory) and my cousin Losa taking a short and very sweet road trip.

Now it seems that usually on Easter Sunday in Momma's neck of the woods stores, malls and the like have always been open and yet where Losa and myself come from everything pretty much shuts the f**k down from Good Friday through to Monday...of course this is in New Zealand.

So unfortunately for Momma the store that sells a dessert that she was hankering for was closed...although we lunch/dinner at Cracker Barrel...one question (which I know Momma is going to smack my heiny for) When did (if ever) Crackers ever come in barrels?

Hope everyone had a fun/happy/relaxing/great weekend.

Hi Everyone!!!

How y'all doing...its Jeanie of Jeanie & Jayha and today in between writing and watching VH1 100 Greatest Hip Hop songs and Reno 911 it's been one of 'those' days...{sigh} sort of feeling BLAH and I suppose it hasn't helped that I haven't left the hotel room...oh well hopefully I have something more for y'all later!

Late Night/Early Morning Ponderings

So tonight Jeanie and I watched the movie GAMER starring , Gabrielle Sidibe's man Gerard. While I wasn't a big fan of the movie, I was a big fan of watching Gerard kick azz. There always seems to be a big ol' pile of azzwhipping in any movie he stars in...and I appreciate that. In between listening to The Jeanie swear out that she wasn't asleep (despite the loud snores coming from her side of the couch) there was a scene in which Gerard busts in and saves his wife...and I jumped up and pumped my fist like I was on the lead float in the Mardi Gras parade. I like watching a man go straight shell over his woman...and it's not because I have a penchant for violence. It is because I have a penchant for passion. When did passion get relegated to the status of 'played out?' Passion is a beautiful, wonderful feeling and yet we have a society where people use up all of their passion on things and all they have leftover for their significant others is lukewarm sentiment...if that.

That is why we crush on books/stories/romances where the hero demonstrates/displays that deep, rockin' love for their heroine. That's why we write stories like that...and why we won't apologize for it. And note, there is a big difference between a hero who is brooding, angry and violent and a hero that is silent, committed and serious.

So tell us, what hero makes you just lose it...and why?
